Gracepoint’s Updates to summer camp!

What a BLAST!!!!!
So far we’ve been incredibly busy!!!!!!! Just since morning we’ve had our breakfast, morning devotions, morning rec. time, lunch and now we’re at our afternoon fun time!

We’ve raced humongous earth balls up and down a hill, played water games like cold potato (with water balloons), groups had to hold up a huge bucket of water with just their feet (we got a bit wet on that one!) and now we’re off at archery, mini golf, the big slide and the ropes courses! We are jam packing the day with fun!!!! I know you’re dying for some videos, and I’m very close to being able to get them on! (I saved them in the wrong format for this site! oops!) They should be up later tonight with things from yesterday, and I’ll upload today’s videos tomorrow morning!

So rest assured, we are having an awesome time! Kids are connecting and building relationships! God is moving mightily! Yeah, God!!!!

Well, it’s the end of our first day at camp, and WOW! was it awesome! Everyone made it down here, safe and sound! I loved the GracePoint 9 car caravan, especially getting on and off at the tolls! But we all made it (even Laura and Mandy’s vans……….you knew I would call you out….)

Today has been filled with camper orientation, swimming, carpet ball, the sack slide (it is bigger than I remembered!), dinner (spaghetti), evening chapel with an awesome personal example from Pastor Jim from Goddard UMC (remember to ask your camper about the hair spray, helmet head, and about hiding things – the bottom line tonight was, “if you hide something, you will get caught!), and a late night movie in our pj’s!

Camp is now dark and quiet as everyone gets rested up for another amazing day tomorrow!!!!!! More to post tomorrow!!!!! (hopefully including some highlight video of the crazy camp games we played tonight before chapel! )

Meet Monday, July 27th, at 11:30am at the new GP West site (the former Cinema’s West building) in the parking lot. DO NOT MEET AT NORTH WEST HIGH SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will load up, take a couple of pictures, pray for our campers and their families and head out no later than 11:45am, so please be on time or early!

Make sure that you have eaten lunch before coming, there will be no provided meals until dinner time at camp!
