Lost and Found
Ok campers, it’s time to ask if you lost something or found something that wasn’t yours. If you found something or lost something, write it in the comment section of this post and hopefully we can get things back to their rightful owner! Thanks!
We’re comin’ home….
It’s hard to believe that camp is nearly over! What a fast week it’s been!
Just in case your info got lost, GracePoint campers will be arriving at the GP West parking lot (the former Cinema’s west) at 5pm! We have had so much fun here at camp this week, but we’re also ready to see our families and sleep in our own beds! Parents please make sure to have your child picked up at 5pm!
See you soon!!!!!!!!
Day 3 Highlight video
The weather was great! The games were fun! Check out this video………..
Day 2 Tell the World Summer Camp ’09
Day 2 was another awesome day at camp! More crazy games, more swimming, more carpet ball, more devotions & prayer time, more super sliding, and we added mini golf, archery, and low ropes courses. Whew….what a day! So……..check it out…………
But it wasn’t all just fun and games, we also had some amazing time in chapel learning about God’s sacrifice for us and about misplaced punishment, how we deserved the punishment but Jesus paid the price. (ask them about Jim being a biter!) We ended chapel with an amazing time of prayer where kids went up to pray and be prayed for, what a moving time absolutely priceless. Hearts were changed, lives were changed, it was truly an amazing time!
Crazy Games!
What would camp be without the crazy summer camp games! You know the ones……licking things off plexiglass, skittle feet, stupid human tricks and much much more! Here’s some pictures of a game we did last night………… banana pantyhose! Kids raced to eat their banana, but they had to do it with panty hose on their head! My hat’s off to Coreen Mefford, Trey Trudo and Corey McReynolds for their bravery! And the winner was……………..Trey Trudo!!! Roy and Hillary, you should be so proud!!!!!!!!!!!
As of last night the boys had taken over the lead in cabin points……..we’ll see if they can continue or if the girls are going to make a rally today! We’ll keep you posted!
Kid skits……….Camp Rules
We wanted to make sure that camp would be an awesome and exciting time for all campers, so we enlisted their help!
Each cabin took a camp rule and created a skit for it, then acted it out for the rest of the camp! They did a fabulous job! Very, Very Creative! Check it out!
Day 1 (Monday) Highlights!!!
]Wooohooo! Thanks to the geniuses both here and back at GP, we have highlight videos!!!!!!!!
You are going to love it!!!!!!!!!!! Here’s a quick peek at our first day at camp!
And it rained……..

Whew, when the skies open up down here, they really open up!!!!! (check out these pictures……)
We had an awesome storm come through here tonight, filled with lightning and rain! All the kids enjoyed some cabin “get to know you” time while the rains poured down and the thunder rolled! Thankfully no severe weather came near, and the great news is that our one night of rain that we get every year is already passed, so tomorrow night should be a beautiful night for our final night! So don’t worry, we survived the storms just fine and even got to enjoy them!
